Welcome to Erica Ahdoot
Alexandria Place Therapy, LLC welcomes Erica Ahdoot to the Alexandria Place Therapy team.
Erica is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of New York where she has practiced as an LCSW since 2006. She is currently working towards establishing licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia since moving here this year. Erica received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Virginia, her Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University School of Social Work, and her Master’s in Philosophy in Social Welfare at CUNY Graduate Center/Hunter School of Social Work. She is currently a doctoral candidate with a focus on parent engagement with schools.
Erica employs an integrated approach to therapy, providing individual, group and family therapy to treat issues of attachment, adjustment, trauma, loss, toxic stress, and familial disruption. Erica has used play and talk therapies to work with children and their caregivers, whose lives are impacted by family violence, loss and separation. She has facilitated parenting support, psycho-educational and process groups, groups on loss for children and adolescents, social skills groups and teen support groups.
